Pocono Lake United Methodist Church - PLUMC is located in the beautiful mountain region of the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania, USA.
We are a People Blessing People with the love and grace of Jesus, here in the Poconos and beyond. We CONNECT. We GROW. We SERVE. We celebrate diversity at Pocono Lake! Our church family comes from a rainbow of backgrounds and faith experiences. As we go about the work of making disciples, we value creativity and fresh ideas.

The Kindness Project
Over the next six weeks of Lent, Pocono Lake United Methodist Church will find ways to spread ripples of kindness throughout our communities. It might be something as simple as holding a door open for someone, or smiling and saying “Good morning” to a total stranger. Maybe it’s helping an elderly person load their groceries into the car. It might be making a phone call to someone who’s lonely, or visiting someone in a nursing home. It could be making a donation of pet food or paper towels or laundry pods to help folks who use Meals or Wheels, or making food donations to the food pantry or helping out with one of those ministries, or with our own Clothing Closet. There are at least a million ways to share a little bit of kindness with someone else.
Because small acts of kindness have ripples – and this is how we change the world.

Care for those in need.
Visit the sick and lonely.
Treat everyone with respect.
Act with humility.
Be the light of Christ.
