Pocono Lake United Methodist Church is involved in mission projects year-round serving our community and the world. The first Sunday of each month we have a special offering to support community agencies. Our partner agencies include Valor Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, PATH (Pocono Area Transitional Housing), The Garden of Giving, Family Promise and Top of the Mountain Ecumenical Food Pantry.
We collect non-perishable food for the Top of the Mountain (TOMEC) food pantry year round. The pantry is located at the Five Loaf House in Pocono Pines and serves local residents of Monroe County.
As needs arise, we support the United Methodist Committee on Relief both monetarily and through the collecting and assembling of items such as flood buckets, school kits, health kits and scholarships which are used to provide relief both nationally and internationally for communities dealing with natural disasters and poverty.
The United Methodist Women collect nonperishable food items and
donate to Tobyhanna Elementary School who places the food in the backpacks of children.
During the Christmas season, our church family provides gifts for children whose families are clients at the TOMEC food pantry.
